Kia ora
We have made a very positive start to the year. Great to see our students excited to be back to school and it has been a busy time welcoming a number of new students and their families.
We are lucky this year to have swimming every Friday afternoon, this is a wonderful opportunity for our tamariki to gain confidence and skills in the water. Please make sure your child brings their togs and towel every Friday.
Other exciting news is that the building under the white shrink wrap will very soon be finished. We are due to regain use of it from March 6. At that point there will be a move around of classes but we anticipate this will be completed on that day and cause minimal disruption to learning.
Nga mihi

To support positive behaviour here at school we focus on our CARE values. We also use Te Ara Whakamana (there is a parent hui on Friday) which helps our learners to unpack both the positive supports in their own lifes and to recognise how they themselves react in different emotional states.
For students who need additional support we have a team of teachers who meet to unpack particular issues and can make referrals to our school counsellor. Parents will always be consulted before their child works with our counsellor and are also welcome to request this support.
