Kia ora
Huge thanks to those who attended our “Korero Mai, Korero Atu” afternoon. We had a great turn out and it was a wonderful opportunity for our teachers to connect with whanau.
Also thanks to everyone for continuing to work around our “building site”. We know access isn’t as easy at the moment, parking is difficult and appreciate everyone’s understanding and patience.
We hope, fingers and toes crossed, to have all of our buildings operational from the beginning of Term 1 2025 but no guarantees.
Ngā mihi
Katrina Day

We are very fortunate to have the support of a number of services here at school, this includes Taeaomanino Trust supporting us with a social worker, Oke Faraimo. He has been able to help whanau access support with housing, Family Start and a wide range of wellbeing assistance.
Oke is usually here at school on Tuesday mornings but is also available to make appointments any other day.

A few years ago we developed a school pepeha to reflect our local community. Students then investigated the plants and wildlife in these environments, it was from this enquiry that our classroom names were selected. Our “Te Awa o Kenepuru” building has two classrooms named after our river environment, Kōwhai, a tree often found near rivers and Kōkopu, a native fish.

Preparation and practices for our school production of “The Life of Maui are well under way.
There will be two performances, both on Thursday 19 September, 12 pm and 6pm at Porirua College Hall. The college hall is bigger than ours and allows us to offer more seats for our audience but at this stage we are limiting tickets to 5 per whanau as we want every family to have the opportunity to watch their children.
Tickets can be purchased from the office, either cash at the office or there is the option to pay direct to the school account.
